¿A DÓNDE VAMOS?
¿A dónde vamos? is a choreography that explores the concept of a metamorphosis. It is created for and with the dancers from the 2023 cast of Metamorfosis Danza, directed by Alejandra Montenegro.
As part of the creative process, the dancers reflected on the personal significance of metamorphosis. After visualizing the image of their ideal future selves, the dancers embodied the path of their transformation through movement, using improvisation. The final choreography is exclusively constructed from the material generated during these improvisations.
¿A dónde vamos? invites the audience to witness this process of transformation. Each dancer will embody their own personal metamorphosis on stage. Can you see where they are going?
If you could transform yourself at will, what kind of person would you want to be? And what parts of you would you leave behind? Where would you go?
